US-based Infor, a global leader in industry-specific business cloud software, which recently won a contract from Pattaya Food Group, will drive its business growth in Thailand and other Asean countries by focusing on customers, domain expertise, strong eco-system and agility, according to Fabio Tiviti, vice president and head of Asean.

Tiviti, who was recently named head of the company’s Asean business, said all these factors are regarded as pillars of success for Infor in this region with Thailand being a key market where the firm is strong in business software for the automotive, food and beverages, and manufacturing sectors.

This was exemplified by the deal signed with Pattaya Food Group in November last year in which the Thai food giant chose to use Infor Cloudsuite for F&B, Infor OS and Infor Birst across its subsidiary companies to drive business growth and further expand into global export markets. Pattaya Food’s brands include Nautilus, Sea Crown, Mongkut Talay and Regalos, while it is also a major OEM producer in the international food supply chain.

According to Infor, its products wiIl help Pattaya Food streamline operations and production, optimize inventory and supply chain management with next-generation intelligent analytics so that product lifecycle for all brands and multiple regional markets can be managed with a centralised solution that meets food product standard and compliance requirements.

Vichit  Anathep, managing director of Pattaya Food Industries, said the firm aims to be the top choice for quality food on supermarket shelves across Asia and global markets so the partnership with Infor will help the firm digitalise its business to overcome challenges that are specific to the food industry. Other customers of Infor in the Thai F&B sector include CPF, CP Meiji and Boonrawd.

Tiviti said customer success is one of the five pillars for Infor’s business success in the region, with other pillars being Infor’s areas or domains of  expertise, namely automotive and other manufacturing industries in Thailand. Other pillars of success are the strong eco-system and partnerships across Thailand and other Asean markets that allow Infor to reach more customers and deliver expertise that is more effective.

In addition, he said, delivering services faster so that customers get value of products in multiple stages of project implementation is another critical success factor along with employee satisfaction and  engagement.

Before joining Infor, Tiviti worked for 12 years at SAP with a focus on small and medium enterprises (SME) and business development functions across different geographical markets. Noting that the Asean region has been witnessing rapid growth in digital transformation across multiple industries, he said Infor is set to add more value to existing players so that they can tap further growth resulting from optimization,  intelligent analytics and other tools.

At present, Infor has more than 68,000 customers in 170 countries including leading aerospace companies, top high-tech, healthcare, automotive, industrial distributors, large cities, global retailers, major breweries, global banks, hotel and luxury brands.
